Spectrum’s ‘Fab Four’ make the Nursing Times shortlist

Spectrum is delighted to have achieved a fantastic four finalists in the Nursing Times Awards 2020!

Following the announcement of the official Nursing Times shortlist, Spectrum staff are now finalists in the following categories:

  • “Team of the Year” – North Yorkshire Horizons
  • “Nurse of the Year” – Helen Bishton (HMP Lancaster Farms)
  •  “Managing Long-Term Conditions” – HMP Preston, Haemodialysis project
  • “Rising Star” – Lyndsey Bibby (HMP Preston)

Nurse Lyndsey Bibby and our team in HMP Preston are putting offender healthcare in the spotlight with their Haemodialysis project, which was created to improve care for patients with end-stage kidney disease. This project has been praised by prison staff and Governors in Preston. Meanwhile in Lancaster Farms, ANP Helen Bishton is a finalist for the Nurse of the Year Award for her work in developing Pain clinics.

North Yorkshire Horizons
In North Yorkshire, our substance misuse team are also Nursing Times finalists – having maintained an excellent standard of care for service users throughout COVID-19 and continued to build on their success since receiving an “Outstanding” rating from the CQC in 2018.
