South Tyneside Adult Recovery Service

Spectrum provides substance misuse support as part of South Tyneside Adult Recovery Service, which launched in April 2018 to supporting anyone struggling with drugs or alcohol.

Alongside the lead provider, Humankind, Spectrum’s clinical team are passionate about recovery and will work each person to understand their needs, set goals and help them live free from addiction.

Please note: In response to the current outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), all our clinical services are providing telephone appointments in an effort to reduce face-to-face contact. Please DO NOT come into clinic directly – if you need support, call your local service first to arrange a telephone consultation. Thank you.

What we offer

In South Tyneside, Spectrum’s clinical team can provide:

  • Support to reduce your alcohol intake, including through gradual planned reduction
  • Clinical alcohol detoxification
  • Substitute prescribing / opioid replacement treatment
  • Access to psychosocial support and 1:1 interventions through Humankind
  • Advice for family members affected by addiction
  • Health and wellbeing support

If you need advice, you can also download our free suite of leaflets online.

We actively encourage everyone who works with us to take ownership over their recovery plan to make sure it’s right for each individual, giving you the best chance at a successful recovery.
