Spectrum Community Health CIC, in partnership with BHA for Equality, has launched a range of non-clinical sexual health services across Wakefield.  Spectrum will continue to deliver its clinical sexual health services through the Trinity Walk clinic, as well as its Relationship & Sex Education programmes and community clinical outreach.

BHA for Equality is a health and social care charity with over 30 years’ experience in delivering sexual health and HIV support and prevention services. They currently provide HIV support and prevention services in Leeds and Greater Manchester, as well as a range of other health services across the North of England.

HIV Prevention and Sexual Health Promotion

  • Information, advice and support to improve and maintain good sexual health
  • Training and group work to support knowledge, skills, and confidence in using prevention tools and a safe space to explore feelings and challenges
  • Access to condoms, lube and safer sex resources
  • HIV testing through regular community-based testing sessions and events-based pop-up clinics
  • Peer support
  • Training, workshops, and courses – a range of activities to support sexual health, safer sex and confidence in improvement, learn new skills.

  • Financial and debt support, including access to BHA’s crisis fund
  • Support for new mums including formula milk and bottle-feeding equipment

  • Activities to improve physical and mental health such as arts and crafts, dance and empowerment sessions.
