National HIV Testing Week 2022: Give HIV The Finger!

National HIV Testing Week (NHTW 2022) is a campaign to promote regular testing among the most-affected population groups in England. Regular testing helps to reduce the number of people living with undiagnosed HIV and those diagnosed late.

This year, the campaign returns with ‘GIVE HIV THE FINGER: A Finger-Prick Test Is All It Takes’.

Would you know if you had HIV?  An estimated 1 in 20 people with HIV are unaware they have it, increasing the risk of passing HIV on to sexual partners.

People can live with HIV for a long time without any symptoms, so testing is the only way to know your HIV status.

  • Knowing our HIV status and accessing the treatment needed can help you to live a long and healthy life with minimal risk of passing the virus to others.
  • If you have HIV, finding out means you can start treatment, stay healthy and avoid passing the virus onto anyone else.
  • Testing for HIV is still possible despite COVID-19 restrictions. You can test at home using HIV postal and self-test kits. These are safe and confidential and enable you to take a test at your own convenience.
  • Anyone diagnosed with HIV in the UK can access free treatment and support.

Testing for HIV is quick, easy and free – order your testing kit below.
