Spectrum Community Health CIC is an award-winning and innovative social enterprise providing specialist health and social care services in substance misuse, sexual health and health and justice across the North of England, and to some of the most vulnerable people in society. Our turnover has increased by more than 5 times since 2011 and we are one of the Top 50 largest Employee-Owned organisations in the UK, as well as being named as one of London Stock Exchange Group’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’. We host two registered charities as well as a training arm: Spectrum Learn & Develop Ltd.

It’s been an exciting journey for everyone at Spectrum as our growth looks set to continue – we have ambitious plans. As part of our business evolution we are looking to add another non-Executive Director to join our Board and enhance our committed, talented and passionate team.

Who are we looking for?

If you have a proven track record of significant achievement at Board level or equivalent, are a stand-out leader who can inspire, motivate and guide our development constructively, then apply to join a dynamic board and organisation that is leading the field.

Applicants must have experience at Board level with a strong focus on corporate governance and business intelligence. Personal attributes are more important than specific industry experience, although expertise in applying digital technology to enhance business performance would be a distinct advantage. We need you to bring enthusiasm, energy and the ability to positively engage and influence people at all levels within the organisation. It is crucial that you share our vision and values, and are able to demonstrate these from your past/current experience.

Previous healthcare sector experience is not a prerequisite but the ability to maintain the balance between care, compassion, service quality and commercialism will be a real benefit. Experience of different company forms and of business change, mergers and acquisitions would also be a plus.
