Top of the class! Andi delivers with online RSE
As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, many schools across England are currently closed and more young people than ever are learning from home.
As a result of this, Spectrum’s Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) team had to work quickly to adapt their teaching provision to an online setting – and our next Hidden Hero, Andi, had lots of ideas!
Cluster Manager Belinda said, “Andi and the RSE team have been incredibly resourceful and imaginative in responding to COVID-19, filming online support videos to replace classroom teaching and making sure that young people can still access RSE and remain safe.
“In recent weeks, Andi has been supporting the RSE team to offer 1:1 support for young people who are referred in from schools or clinics, as well as supporting online training for professionals working with young people. She is passionate about the welfare of young people and all her of materials can be adapted for students with a variety of different learning needs.”
Although they are working from home, the RSE team are working hard to support schools by collating learning resources to distribute to schools which remain open for the children of key workers. Some schools are also using these RSE resources to help support students with home learning.
Well done Andi!
