Inspiring Recovery is the name for Substance Misuse Services in the Wakefield District. Spectrum works in partnership with Turning Point to deliver integrated services that are recovery-focused, with an emphasis on aftercare, moving on services and mutual aid. This integrated approach is aimed at providing service users the best possible experience during their recovery journey.
Clinicians can refer service users to receive support by calling 0300 123 1912. Members of the public can also self-refer using the same number, which also provides information such as opening times and the nearest hub.
Service users can also access support at one of the three hubs, where Inspiring Recovery teams are based: Wakefield, Castleford and South Kirkby. The hubs work with over a 1000 service users to promote recovery and support people on their recovery journeys. We offer access to substitute prescribing, detoxification as well as other related health advice for drugs and alcohol users.
With individually tailored support packages, we meet the needs of service users and include 1-1 work, MOPSI group work (Models of psychosocial interventions), Mindfulness interventions and help with physical and mental health needs. The recovery service is designed to support those whose treatment journey needs kick-starting and those who are making big steps toward recovery.
In addition, Spectrum’s Shared Care team provides clinics at a number of GP practices for existing service users.
