Cafe and Chat Volunteers

Why we need you

Spectrum People provides a range of activities to support vulnerable people across Wakefield district. We need support with organising and running the activities. This role is specifically about helping in our café and chat – helping with set-up and closing of the café, providing drinks and snacks for those visiting, looking after donated food and generally making visitors feel comfortable. There are likely to be other activities involved and the Spectrum People staff present will explain these.

This volunteer support provides successful applicants with an opportunity to develop their experience and skills, in addition to helping provide peer support to service users. This café and chat role is part of our most successful activity – providing a friendly, safe and comfortable venue for over 30 visitors each time it is open.
