Secure Environments – North East Prison Cluster

Spectrum has a number of vacancies for enthusiastic and patient-focused GPs to work within our offender healthcare services based in the North East Prison Cluster.

We are seeking experienced GPs who will provide key clinical support to large, multidisciplinary teams in prisons across the North East region, supporting some of Spectrum’s most vulnerable patients to maximise their wellbeing and work towards recovery. Registered General Nurse (RGN)

Secure Environments – HMP Preston

Spectrum is seeking experienced and motivated Registered Nurses to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team based in HMP Preston, a category B male prison. The postholder will be joining a dynamic healthcare team which supports some of the most vulnerable patients with a range of healthcare concerns, and should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and a sound nursing knowledge base.

Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist

We are seeking a keen and motivated Band 7 physiotherapist to join our integrated healthcare team in HMP Preston, a male prison.

This is a specialist clinical role delivering a high standard of physiotherapy assessment and treatment for a range of patients with musculoskeletal/ orthopaedic conditions across Spectrum’s North West prisons estate. The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate a history of good practice, sound subject knowledge and a willingness to promote and encourage learning, including through delivering training programmes and offering expert advice to GPs, Nurse Practitioners and other clinicians. Healthcare Manager

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse leader to join Spectrum’s nursing team in HMP Preston as Healthcare Manager.

The postholder will be a registered nurse with extensive experience of leading healthcare teams, and will coordinate all daily healthcare services within the prison environment.

The Healthcare Manager will also provide professional leadership and be responsible and accountable for the management of the multidisciplinary health care team, able to build respect quickly, motivate others and develop positive working relationships and partnerships.

Nurse Consultant

Spectrum is recruiting for a dynamic and ambitious substance misuse specialist to join our existing healthcare teams in the North East as a Nurse Consultant.

Based in HMP Holme House, the postholder will be experienced in the field of substance misuse and will have accredited prescribing expertise, RCGP Level 2 in Substance Misuse and a track record of excellence in patient care.
