Spectrum People Board of Trustees

Roger Grasby

Chair and Non-Executive Director. A long-term resident of Wakefield, Roger holds a number of positions within the district. He is Chair of NHS Wakefield District, a member of the West Yorkshire Police Authority, a Justice of the Peace and a non-legal member of the Employment Tribunal. He is also a representative on the Members’ Council for South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Roger has been Non-Executive Director at a number of organisations, including the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, the former West Yorkshire Strategic Health Authority and the Wakefield and Pontefract Community Health NHS Trust. He was the Chief Executive of the North Yorkshire Training and Enterprise Council from
1990 to 1999.

Alistair Griggs

Non-Executive Director. Alistair is an experienced operations and governance director, having held board-level roles in the voluntary sector and local authorities. Alistair has a track record in social care, health, housing, and has previously been a charity trustee. He is committed to excellence, strong customer care and engagement, and is values-driven.

Philip Morris

Non-Executive Director. Philip is an experienced director, with a speciality in new business, marketing and sales. Philip has worked in the drinks industry. He has also mentored 15/16-year-olds in two Pontefract schools and was appointed an Associate Director by the Pontefract Academies Trust shortly before joining Spectrum.

Dr Linda Harris

Chief Executive, Spectrum Community Health CIC. A former Wakefield General Practitioner and Clinical Director, Linda has championed the needs of vulnerable people for over 15 years. Linda is a trustee of SpectrumPeople, Fellow and Medical Director of Substance Misuse and Associated Health for the RCGP.

Sharon Hardcastle

Director of Finance and Resources. Sharon is a qualified accountant under the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Before joining Spectrum, Sharon was Chief Financial Officer for WDCHS and along with managing the £55 million budget for the community services of Wakefield, she also led the due diligence process under the transforming community services agenda. Prior to this role, Sharon had 13 years NHS finance experience, ranging from provider services finance to commissioning finance, including Primary Medical Services contacts for the Wakefield GP’s.

Julie Fleetwood

Executive Nurse. Julie trained as a nurse in 1984, working in mental health settings, building her experience in safeguarding, and subsequently championing the themes of PREVENT, Child Sexual Exploitation and domestic abuse. She has been an inspector for the Healthcare Council. Her clinical work has always been with the vulnerable.

Debbie Ward

Director of Operations. Debbie began her career as a nursing assistant become becoming a qualified Occupational Therapist. She has a strong clinical background and worked for many years in the field of forensic psychiatry, working in secure mental health hospitals including Stockton Hall and Northampton. Debbie studied for an MA in Criminology and became an associate director at Leeds Trust, looking after specialist mental health services.
